Ocean Vessel Switch To Clean Fuel (06/2015)
Under the Air Pollution Control (Ocean Going Vessels) (Fuel at Berth) Regulation, which comes into effect from 1 July 2015, the sulphur content of compliant low-sulphur fuel used by vessels berthed in Hong Kong should not exceed 0.5%. For more information, please click:

Low Sulfur Regualtion - Ocean Going Vessels Fuel Switching (07/2014)
In accordance with the Administration's Response of Legistative Council [ Document no.: CB(1)1785/13-14(05)], the administration's response from the government is as follows:"We are drafting the proposed regulation to mandate all OGVs to use cleaner fuel while at berth in Hong Kong waters with a view to implementing the regulation in 2015."
